The Marketing and Evangelism Ministry serves to make the presence of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion in Center City Philadelphia known to our neighbors and others in the city and county where our congregation joyfully meets, worships, studies, grows, and works to share the Gospel.  We seek to invite others to join us in our Faith Journey and our Celebration of God’s Welcome.

With expert volunteer help we researched and developed the identity mark below to assist the church in representing our commitment to welcoming, openness, community, and diversity.

We believe this logo helps us to communicate accurately and consistently who we are and what we are about.  As proclaimed in our Mission Statement:  "We will praise God as we declare that Christ is our Savior, proclaim the Gospel, serve our neighbors in the community and the world, and love one another."

• Our Ministry developed the first church website more than 15 years ago.  We have improved and updated the site in succeeding years.  Many new members and visitors tell us that they were able to find us through our website.  Our web address, www.lutheranchurchphiladelphia.org has been very useful in having people searching for a Lutheran Church in Philadelphia find us at the top of their Google list, but the shortcut is www.lc-hc.org.  We are committed to keeping the website up to date with photographs of our members participating in worship and special events and projects of the church.  We also provide links to other Lutheran websites.  There is also an current calendar of events, especially helpful to the members of our congregation. 
• We have also set up a presence for the Congregation on the social networking sites, Facebook and Twitter.
• The Ministry works at keeping signage at the front and rear entrances to the church inviting and informative, by way of banners and informational signs. We also produce posters, fliers and other informational media for distribution to the community to carry the message for each season and activity of the Church.

• The Ministry works to assist the various programs of the church with informative material and advertising, whether on the internet or in print.  We provide services to the other ministries to communicate their messages to the congregation and the broader community. We work closely with the Church Council, Jazz Ministry, Stephen Ministry, Small Groups, and  committees for special events.

The Ministry is open to any and all who desire to share their gifts and work with us on these important projects.  We meet monthly in each other’s homes or at the parish house for dinner and share the work and celebrate our fellowship.
